MISSION STATEMENT: The Ridgefield Business Association is committed to the success of our members and community. To this end we advocate for a healthy local business climate and promote commerce, business alliances, customer awareness and civic well being.
General meetings are held the last Tuesday of every month at the fire station on 65th Ave in Ridgefield. Social time starts at 6:30pm and the meeting starts at 7:00pm. Meetings tend to adjourn between 8:00 and 8:30pm. Come by and check us out! Members who attend meetings get the opportunity to introduce themselves by stating their business name, personal name, and business motto, or "a good lead for me is…".
There is an opportunity for each business to make announcements for sales, promotions, events or anything you wish to share outside your normal course of business.
RBA Meeting at the Fire Station
Members may also be a meeting sponsor. Meeting sponsors get listed on the general meeting agenda that goes out before every meeting. Sponsors are allotted 10 minutes to talk about anything that pertains to them or their business. Sponsors are encouraged to bring some sort of snack to the general meeting for everyone to enjoy. Water and soda are provided for every meeting by Corwin Beverage Company.
Yearly dues, January 1st to December 31st, gives members a free listing on the Ridgefield Business Guide and Area Map. Advertising on the map is an additional fee and is optional. Members also receive a free business listing on the RBA website www.ridgefieldwash.com. Enhanced listings and Banner Advertisments are also available, see our advertising page. Our current web page receives an average of 40,000 hits every month!
The RBA works with and reciprocates membership of the following organizations and non-profits: Ridgefield Farmers' Market, City of Ridgefield, Port of Ridgefield, Ridgefield Library, Ridgefield Community Center, Friends of the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge, Birdfest, Ridgefield Art Association, and the Hometown Celebration.
The RBA sponsors the following events: First Friday, 4th of July Festival, County Commissioner Forum, and City Council Election Debate. In addition, the “Welcome Banners” you see around town were paid for and installed by members.The RBA has been making changes and progress toward supporting local businesses and neighborhoods. The association has recently updated bylaws, obtained insurance, become incorporated, and registered as a non-profit. We look forward to the future and what it brings, and hope you will join us for the journey!
